Here is what a few of our friends are saying about us.......

We have really enjoyed your resturant and the service is great as well as the food. My husband takes so many people to your place for lunch and always wants to be back with the booths and loves being able to visit with clients as well as friends and oh yes - sometimes even his WIFE!! thanks,Sonya and Bill  S    1/26/12

The best Marble Falls has to offer. Usually make it to this place one or two times a year. The first is good, portions are reasonable and prices are fair.

lobster of course!
i am one that eats lobster everytime i eat at a seafood restaurant, but we did start off with oysters on the half shell, so good! love this place for it's atmosphere, cleanliness, quality & service -all a++ my kids love the attention they get. although we live close to the coast, we don't get this on our ranch. it doesn't get any better. eat at docs!

We love Doc's. Love the food, always good & fresh & the people are Texas friendly. We got to see the new bar area & heard live music. It was neat to see the changes that keep increasing there every time we come. Thank goodness there are still restaurants like Doc's that make their food from scratch. We'll be Back!

Food is great; new bar is AWESOME
Title basically says all. The food has always been great, and still is. The new bar is quickly becoming my new "spot." They have 12 beers on tap now, and have added a whole slew of bottled beers to their collection. You can add them on Facebook and they have specials advertised on there. They run some great deals from time to time, especially on drinks. Their Mexican Martinis are amazing!!!!! Plus, ask for Patron tequila instead of the bar tequila - it is WELL worth the extra few bucks.
Doc's is a great restaurant and hangout; you won't be disappointed, trust me. Enjoy.

New sports bar area does open up the place and the additional seating really helped keep things flowing. Calamari is some of the best I've ever had. Oysters were very fresh and fried perfectly. My friend's grilled shrimp alfredo was obvioiusly delicious as there was not a drop of sauce or pasta left on the bowl.

Drinks were spot on....so many choices of beer, so little time. 12 on tap and like 20 in the bottle.

This revamped and exciting place is certainly just what Marble Falls has been missing!

    Best Food Ever!

by Dariansmith76643  Unbelievable. Reminds me of places I went as a kid when we came to the lake. I do not go for fancy food with a sprig of something stuck in something raw in the middle of your plate -dime size. I like a hearty meal that tastes wonderful, is feeling as well as healthy. Doc's gets my vote. They are doing great things all the time. I see it as a destination restaurant. I would make a point to go there no matterwhere I live. Doc's Rocks! Thumbs up!

The stuffed flounder is to die for. I loved the array of side dishes you can choose. Nice fresh salads, but you could eat the Blue Chees Dressing on any of it. Donata was a very nice happy waitress that never let my drink go dry.
This should be the star of Texas Monthly as it emits total Texas charm. Reminds of the day!

Cute country atmosphere. Fast and friendly Texas style service. Great food. We had the chicken fried steak and blackened catfish. Both nicely flavored and excellently cooked Sweet potato fries were thick and crunchy. Will definitely visit again on our next trip.

The food was really good...I had a loaded baked potato, tenderloin filet and salad. The filet was cooked med. and was very tender. Tom ordered to types of shrimp and liked them both. Our waitress Kim was awesome. We will return.

Having stayed 2 days in Horseshoe bay, I think the food here was one of the best.

They had fresh fish, and the flavors were quite good. Good service, good food. There aren't a lot of seafood places around here. If you're in the area, and looking for seafood, I'd definitely recommend this place.

This is our favorite place to eat in Marble Falls. If you like fish you should try it. Very consistent. They make their own sauces which are excellent. The Calamari is outstanding. Service has always been excellent. Good value of what you get for what you pay.

Doc's is one of 2 or 3 best places in Marble Falls to eat, maybe even the entire Highland Lakes area.

Food has always been excellent to outstanding, service good to excellent, and a nice atmosphere without being fancy or pretentious.

Anyone can find something they like on the menu which is quite comprehensive from vegetarian (see below) to burgers, but they do specialize in Seafood and Steaks.

    their menu is at: http://docsfishcamp.com/default.aspx

I have had 8 or 9 different menu entrees and each one has been well prepared and tasty. And their fish is FRESH!

It is not a place to dine on a budget, but not overpriced either, I consider it a GOOD value for the money. Probably would not take a herd of kids here, or make it a weekly or more frequent place to visit, but for really nice place every once in while for treat, to take out of town guests, a "special friend", for special occasions, and good place to take business associates.

For vegetarians i would suggest ordering a la carte from the "sides" menu; the seasoned green beans, smashed garlic potatoes, red potato salad, pan broiled mushrooms, and stuffed baked sweet potato are especially good, as are salads. There is also the Becca's veggie burger (black bean type) basket, which I have been told is very good. But beware, in this area if you order vegetarian or even worse vegan you may get a friendly strange look and smile -- this IS Texas hill country after all.

Its a decent place to eat, service has always been good, and the food cooked to reasonable standards. Compared to restaurants on the coast I have eaten at this place would get stomped into the ground, but for the area its good. Their food is always fresh, which is a great plus in any book. Also the establishment is clean, and well taken care of by the owners. Defiantly recommended by me, especially for their hush puppies I've cleaned out a bowl or two of those before any of my friends even got a single one.

When fate brings you to Marble Falls….You simply must eat at Doc's for stellar seafood (and much more)! Cozy and comfy is this unpretentious dining experience! You'll feel right at home as you're greeted by smiling faces! The walls are adorned with photos of fishing trips past and tables are topped with fresh cut flowers. All this sets the tone for the real reason you came…. The Food! Whether you order a chicken sandwich served on a fresh bun so good, "it'll make you wanna slap yo momma"; or blackened grilled salmon smothered in a caper sauce that'll have you begging for more, you'll leave full and very satisfied! I can't wait until the trades winds blow me back Doc's way!

This is the best service & best food we have found anytime we come to Marble Falls. The variety of fish is unbeleiveable & they will cook it the way you want.
The sauces, especially the caper sauce are yummy.
We always ask them to put a shrimp on our bloody mary
and enjoy the atmosphere so much. Be sure & try the stuffed flounder and Key Lime Pie.  huge and some of the best I had.

Our family loved our food. We always ask if calamari is fresh or frozen. Doc's is not only fresh but is clearly breaded on site. They offer a few sauces with the calamari. We liked the ranch. The house salads were mostly iceberg lettuce and a few other greens. Our family enjoyed the stuffed flounder, the stuffed crabs, the fried catfish, and the coconut shrimp. Stuffed baked potato was good and half of us liked the garlic mashed potatoes. The owner is very hands on and service was quick. Watch out for old reviews on this place because it is now Doc's Fish Camp and Grill and has been returned to an earlier owner. My guess is that the 2008 reviews were under the owner trying to manage this place from another town.

Every time I eat at Doc's, the food is ALWAYS fresh and ALWAYS gets to me very quickly. I know for a fact that the fish is never "frozen for a while." They always cook the meals to order, and the catfish (e.g.) is freshly breaded right after the order is put in. The restaurant has been around for over a decade, and that is no surprise! The waitstaff is extremely friendly, the managers are always helpful and visit with tables as they walk by, and the new owners are very knowledgeable and genuine. It is, in my opinion, without a doubt, the best restaurant in Marble Falls!!!!!!!

I had two types of shrimp--both were well prepared and tasty. The Zatarain's Peel and Eat shrimp were nice and firm. My husband ordered the grilled scallops wrapped in bacon and was quite pleased. The green beans tasted good, as did the French fries, but weren't at the same level as the shrimp and scallops. The service was prompt and friendly. All in all we enjoyed our meals and I look forward to my next visit to Marble Falls and Doc's

You can't help but feel special everytime you visit Doc's Fish Camp, but don't let the name fool you. An enjoyable family dining extravaganza with the freshest tasteing catch your mouth has ever entertained. A professional waitstaff that invites you to experience all the flavors of the Gulf in a warm and relaxed atmosphere with presentations so picturesque you hate to disturb the view. Start with the Shrimp Diablo, an eclectic blend of shrimp, jalapeno and BACON! Don't forget the flounder....I only wish I lived closer. My FAVORITE restaurant in the Hill Country.

I have been stopping in @ Doc's for years - by far the best shrimp I've ever had.....even on the coast. Their seafood is always just outstanding and we still love the small town friendly service we get every time we come in. One of the great highlights of when we visit!

This restaurant was outstanding. It was great to find peel and eat shrimp. The steak & shrimp was delicious. Its the best deal I have found in a long time not to mention the coldest beer. Why eat anywhere else? It is so friendly. We hope to book a Christmas party there. I was told the longest you have to wait is ten minutes, but to call if we have more than 6 to make a resaervation. The food is fresh
and they serve a nice presentation. Yes! I recommend Doc's.

To eat here to to be good to yourself

I wish all restaurants had good food , service & prices like this one. It's even kid friendly. It seems like a romantic getaway kind of place with candles burning & low but good nosalgic music. But it is more like

home cooking and sweet pea waitresses. They kept my kids entertained while we were busy munching

on appetizers. The kids loved what they had on the menu & our grilled salmon & prime rib were to die for.

This is an affordable restaurant for a family of five, so we plan to make this our base for once a week dining. The meeting room is going to be perfect for my bible study group. Bon appetit!

    11/07/08

This restaurant is now Doc’s Fish Camp & Grill still providing some of the same great dishes as before but new and improved everything. Some prices are even lower! All Fish, including Shrimp & Lobster, Steaks & Chicken are cooked to your request. Food is only fried when when you order it. Superb menu, selection, full bar, children friendly & private meeting room available.

    07/10/2008

Traveled all over the southern hemisphere & there is no fried shrimp as good as Dock's! Have had their steaks too! Cooked to perfection. The service is
wonderful for semi casual restaurant. Can't wait to go back, beats all the other Marble Falls Restaurants, hands down.
